Up Front Recruitment is seeking a Lead Procurement Consultant or a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a commercial background who is interested in transitioning into a procurement-focused role. This opportunity arises as the current Senior Buyer prepares for retirement.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of subcontract order placements, ensuring that contracts align with the primary contract conditions. Familiarity with the various options available under the NEC forms of contract is essential.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain ongoing cost analysis reports that compare actual expenditures with projected costs.
  2. Establish and nurture partnering agreements with key suppliers and equipment rental firms on both local and national levels.
  3. Oversee and update the database of Suppliers & Sub-Contractors, actively seeking to onboard new subcontractors to our preferred suppliers list.
  4. Implement and supervise purchasing protocols that adhere to the company's Environmental, Quality, and Health & Safety standards.
  5. Compile necessary documentation for Operations & Maintenance manuals and Handback Files.
  6. Ensure all subcontractors meet our procurement criteria to qualify for inclusion on our preferred suppliers list.
  7. Manage the procurement of company vehicles and equipment.
  8. Collaborate closely with construction directors and site managers to ensure alignment and efficiency.
