As a Refuge Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team providing a safe and supportive environment for children and young people who have experienced abuse.
Key Responsibilities- Build trusting relationships with children and parents, providing a key working service to meet their needs and address the impact of abuse.
- Work with children and young people to ensure they feel safe and explore healthy relationships.
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate activities, child house meetings, and group work to promote positive experiences of refuge.
- Provide opportunities for children to engage with local amenities, attend events, and participate in creative activities with other families.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the project, recording and reporting all work and incidents in accordance with Llamau's procedures.
- Participate in the on-call rota, providing telephone and in-person support to colleagues, and taking initiative and self-motivation to address issues and emergencies.
This role requires lone working, and the ability to follow procedures, take initiative, and demonstrate self-motivation is essential.
