Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team, responsible for managing the financial operations of our company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase Ledger Management: Set up new suppliers, process purchase invoices, reconcile supplier statements, prepare weekly pay runs, reconcile payments made, and perform aged creditors reconciliation.
  • Recharging Invoices: Manage third-party cost management and convert invoices to recharges.
  • Accounts Inbox: Monitor the 'Accounts' mailbox throughout the day.
  • Credit Card Reconciliation: Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of credit card transactions.
  • Sales Ledger Management: Collaborate with the Finance Executive to draft, amend, finalize, save, and send invoices in line with invoicing protocols.
  • Petty Cash Month-End Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations of petty cash accounts.
  • Weekly Time Analysis Reports: Generate reports on time spent on various tasks.
  • Internal Budget Actuals Updates: Update internal budgets with actuals.
  • Ad-hoc Duties: Perform various administrative tasks as required, including filing and archiving.

Requirements

  • AAT qualified or part ACCA or CIMA, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Previous experience using an accounting system, with a solid grasp of double-entry concepts.
  • Excellent IT skills, including intermediate or higher proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Ability to produce ad-hoc reports using MS Excel and accountancy software.
  • Previous experience using Xero or Paprika is an advantage.
  • Minimum two years of experience working in a busy office environment.
