Job Title: SEN Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Primary setting. The role involves working 1:1 with students, supporting their learning and development, and contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, adapting to their unique needs and abilities.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring students receive the support they require.
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with teachers, other support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 childcare qualification (Level 3 preferred)
  • Experience working 1:1 with SEN students, SEN qualifications are preferable
  • Experience working within the Primary Sector
  • Knowledge of KS1/KS2 Curriculum
  • Committed to promoting progression of pupils learning
