About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Production Manufacturing Planner to join our team at DS Smith in Ely. As a key member of our Retail Marketing division, you will be responsible for managing the planning and execution of all co-packing activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with commercial and production teams to plan and load all schedules in line with order deadlines.
  • Monitor schedules regularly and re-plan jobs as needed to ensure efficient workflow through the department.
  • Collaborate with Production Controllers and Shift Managers to address current and future work and any issues.
  • Support Production Controllers and Shift Managers in daily and weekly meetings.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Previous experience in production planning and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in planning and scheduling systems, preferably Tharsterns.
  • Background in a packaging or co-packing business.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage change programs.
  • Strong communication and briefing skills.
