Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mathematics Educator to join our team at East Ayrshire Council. As a Mathematics Educator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering an innovative and creative curriculum that promotes the key objectives of the Education Plan and the Community Plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a curriculum that challenges, supports, and inspires all learners to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to integrate the curriculum with other subjects and promote a holistic approach to education.
- Contribute to the development of the school's education plan and ensure that it aligns with the council's strategic objectives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in mathematics education.
- Work with the line manager to ensure that the curriculum is delivered in a way that meets the needs of all learners.
Requirements
- Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act.
- PVG Scheme membership or a PVG Scheme Record Update, as required by East Ayrshire Council.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with learners, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to develop and deliver a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners, including those with additional support needs.
Working Conditions
- 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at the direction of the line manager.
- Temporary full-time posts based at Robert Burns Academy, Barony Campus, Cumnock.
- Full-time salary between £38,000 and £48,000 per annum.
