About the Position

We are seeking a temporary replacement for our current Senior Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer to join our mobile applications development team. Reporting to the Lead QA Engineer, the ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for quality and will strive to maintain high standards across Immediate's digital platforms, fostering a culture of excellence and encouraging quality considerations at every stage of the process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of product modifications.
  • Represent QA in all team meetings and ceremonies.
  • Serve as a QA role model, enhancing the team's understanding of quality and mentoring them to elevate their skills.
  • Oversee the execution of thorough functional, non-functional, and regression testing.
  • Effectively communicate issues and bugs early, managing them until resolution.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to enhance test coverage and maximize bug discovery.
  • Collaborate with fellow QA engineers to establish standards, best practices, and guidelines.
  • Work alongside team members, Product Managers, and Delivery Managers to plan new features or significant enhancements.
  • Build strong working relationships with a diverse range of colleagues.

Essential Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in an agile work environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with methodologies such as Behaviour Driven Development, Data Driven Testing, and Risk-Based Analysis.
  • Proven mobile application testing experience on both iOS and Android platforms, including responsive testing across various devices.
  • Proficient in logging and reporting bugs using Jira or similar tools.
  • Experience managing the release process.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing.
  • Experience in writing and managing tests with at least one JavaScript test automation tool for applications, such as Appium-WebdriverIO or Detox.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and the significance of continuous testing.
  • Experience with Source Control Management (SCM) tools like Git.
  • API testing experience using Postman.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive learner, eager to enhance personal and team skills while adapting to new tools and processes.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience testing React Native applications.
  • Familiarity with Bitrise or CodePush.
  • Experience with cloud-based testing platforms.
  • Knowledge of automated API testing.
  • Experience in performance testing.
  • ISTQB foundation level certification or equivalent.
