Key Responsibilities:- Prepare unaudited interim results for the half-year period, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Supervise the preparation of IFRS 16 lease accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Develop and write papers on the application of IFRS 15 for large contracts, providing technical support to Grant Thornton.
- Research and write a paper on the capitalization of employee costs to projects, with a focus on best practices.
- Lead the preparation of year-end consolidation and annual reports for the plc and four UK subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Provide query support for tax returns preparation on behalf of KPMG, with a focus on technical expertise.
- Support the preparation of financial accounts for Republic of Ireland, Dutch, and Belgian entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Prepare monthly statutory accounts, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Accrue interest on loan and corporation tax on a monthly basis, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Provide ad-hoc statutory and financial support to external and internal partners, with a focus on technical expertise.
- Offer technical support and coaching to the transactional and management accounting team, with a focus on professional development.
- Qualified Accountant with a strong background in financial reporting.
- Excellent knowledge of multiple entity, multiple currency consolidation of accounts under IFRS and FRS 101, with a focus on technical expertise.
- Advanced Excel skills are a prerequisite, with a focus on data analysis and visualization.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or engineering organization is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent stakeholder skills, with a focus on communication and collaboration.
- Comfortable working in multiple accounting systems, with a focus on adaptability and flexibility.
- Attention to detail and numerical skills are a pre-requisite, with a focus on accuracy and precision.
