Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and experienced Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator to join our growing Health & Safety team. As a Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator, you will assist the business in its undertaking and offer practical advice on the measures which need to be undertaken to comply with the requirements and prohibitions imposed upon the business due to any statutory provisions laid down for the health and safety of employees, contractors, visitors, or any persons who may be affected by the business acts or omissions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Health and Safety Strategy Implementation

Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and reviewing of Health & Safety & well-being strategies, procedures, risk assessments, site safety plan, and safe working practices in line with the Global Safety Framework.

Health and Safety Culture Promotion

Promote a positive Health & Safety & well-being culture and assist to improve Health & Safety performance.

Safety Concerns Action

Action any safety concerns raised by employees, managers, safety representatives, visitors, contractors, or members of the public.

Global Safety Framework Development

Assist management and development of the Global Safety Framework.

Training and Development

Assist in the identification of training needs for employees and assist with the delivery of training as required.

Risk Assessment and Inspection

Support the carrying out and/or review of risk assessments where required.

Workplace Inspection

Carry out workplace inspections in order to proactively identify where Health & Safety may be improved.

Investigation and Prevention

Support managers with investigations and facilitate necessary steps to prevent reoccurrences.

Reporting and Performance Data

Assist with preparation of Health & Safety reports and statistical performance data as required.

Legislation and Compliance

Keep up to date with current Health & Safety legislation.

Relationship Building

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all departments at all levels.

Wellbeing and Health Initiatives

Take an active role in any company projects or initiatives which will improve wellbeing & Health & Safety.

Communication and Engagement

Actively engage with the factory floor to facilitate communications.

Safety Meetings

Attend and chair safety meetings as required.

Requirements

Working knowledge and understanding of incident investigation.

Enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Encourages team working and works proactively with other departments.

Is innovative in their approach to Health & Safety.
