Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team on a part-time temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the finance team with various tasks, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, journals, and finance administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, including invoices and receipts.
- Sales Ledger: Manage sales transactions, including invoicing and credit control.
- Bank Recs: Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Journals: Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
- Finance Admin: Provide administrative support to the finance team, including data entry and document preparation.
- Preparation of payments: Assist with the preparation of payments, including cheques and electronic transfers.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in accounting and bookkeeping, as well as proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of Xero is also advantageous. You will also need to have excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
