Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operational efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics processes from unloading shipments to preparing items for inspection and reloading onto vehicles.

  • Efficiently load and unload vehicles, utilizing manual handling techniques, roller cages, and other material handling equipment.
  • Complete manual and/or electronic reporting tasks as required.
  • Follow instructions from on-site partners to facilitate the inspection workflow.
  • Update the Yard Management System after receiving appropriate training.
  • Execute operational duties to meet departmental and site goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection area following training.
  • Adhere to COSHH guidelines after training.
  • Assist drivers in locating loading bays and provide directions to necessary areas.
  • Promote a culture of health and safety within the workplace.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Experience in logistics within a high-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems.
  • A solid understanding of workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to meet established performance targets.

Required Skills:

  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations such as picking and loading.

Working Conditions:

  • Shift schedules consist of 4 days on followed by 4 days off, with 12-hour shifts.
  • Both day and night shifts are available.
  • Competitive hourly rates based on shift timings.
  • Options for weekly or monthly pay.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must have no unspent criminal convictions and be able to pass a basic Criminal Record Check.
  • Ability to provide references for the past three years and have resided in the UK for the last five years.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
