Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our Combat Systems Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex computer networks and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop computer networks to host Submarine Combat System applications.
  • Support the design lifecycle and develop system architecture using model-based systems engineering.
  • Collaborate with the team to elicit and manage customer requirements.
  • Ensure proposed designs are captured within requirements management tools and modelling environments.
  • Manage the maturity of engineering solutions and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Define functional and logical architecture.
  • Identify and define interfaces across system boundaries.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Degree educated in a STEM discipline or HND/HNC with sound experience of the Engineering Lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering process and practices in the defence, maritime or closely linked industry.
  • Knowledge of computer systems architecture.
  • Knowledge of developing systems engineering models.

Desirable:

  • Degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Working towards professional registration.
  • Experience of verification and validation of requirements.
