Join a global pharmaceutical company as a Microbiologist in our Liverpool laboratory.

We are seeking a skilled Microbiologist to perform microbiological testing of water systems and drug products, as well as environmental monitoring of unclassified production area pack rooms.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Microbiological testing of water systems and drug products.
  • Performing microbiological testing on samples from raw materials, In-Process, Release and stability.
  • Booking in and controlling of samples.
  • Environmental monitoring of unclassified production area pack rooms.
  • Following Good Quality Control Laboratory Practices (GLP) at all times and ensuring the work area is maintained in a clean and tidy state adhering to the 6S established for the area.
  • Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Manufacturing Documentation (GDP).
  • Conducting laboratory investigations / exceptions / NCR / CAPA.
  • Provide support and training for others within the laboratory.
  • Performing reviewing team members lab testing.
  • Performing Validation Maintenance of the Analytical methods used in the area.

This is a 3-month contract role with the possibility of extension or permanent position. The hourly PAYE rate is £13.87.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Microbiology lab testing experience within a GMP environment.
  • Experience in analytical weighing, sample dilutions, aseptic techniques, pipetting techniques, plate reading, and use of the Vitek.
