Supporting a Pupil with Special Educational Needs

We are a small, village primary school with a caring, Christian ethos, seeking a confident, enthusiastic, and hardworking Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil with Special Educational Needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general classroom duties and providing support to the pupil, ensuring their needs are met and they have access to a high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the pupil with Special Educational Needs in the classroom
  • Carrying out general classroom duties, including preparing resources and equipment
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members
  • Ensuring the pupil's safety and well-being at all times

Requirements:

  • Confidence and enthusiasm in working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members
  • Basic knowledge of Special Educational Needs and the ability to adapt to individual needs
  • Enhanced DBS clearance prior to taking up the position

Working Hours: 21.25 hours per week, term time only

Contract Type: 1 year fixed term contract

Salary: £23,118 - £23,505 pro rata for part-time

Grade: 5
