Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in providing care and support to individuals with autism and learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support and keywork services to individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors, working collaboratively with the team to manage and reduce these behaviors.
  • Support and keywork adults and children in their own homes, promoting independence, social inclusion, and community participation.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans, ensuring the needs and goals of each individual are met.
  • Work closely with other agencies, parents, and professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care and support.
  • Participate in regular training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as behavior management, health and safety, and social care values.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in social care, preferably in a keyworker or support role.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of autism, learning disabilities, and related support strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
