Senior Respiratory Medicine Consultant

We are collaborating with a prominent NHS Trust in the UK to recruit a Senior Consultant in Respiratory Medicine. This role is available on either a permanent or fixed-term contract basis, aimed at enhancing the existing Medicine department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of key functions, including:

  • Ensuring the provision of a high-quality Respiratory service.
  • Contributing to all facets of treatment and management to ensure the department operates effectively.
  • Providing coverage for colleagues during periods of leave or short-term absences.

Additionally, the role involves:

  • Clinical supervision of junior medical staff in collaboration with fellow consultants.
  • Engaging in teaching, examination, and accreditation responsibilities as necessary.
  • Participating in Continuing Medical Education and clinical governance initiatives.
  • Managing outpatient clinic responsibilities in peripheral facilities as coordinated by the divisional management team.
  • Contributing to the Audit Programme.
