Job Title: Legal Cashier Liverpool

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Cashier to join our team at Simpson Judge in Liverpool city centre. As a Legal Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial transactions and compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with file handling departments to process accounting transactions and resolve any queries in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the processing of client and office account transactions, with reference to billing.
  • Provide guidance to team members as necessary and act as a point of contact for complex queries.
  • Ensure compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules within the team.
  • Perform other duties as required by the firm.
Essential Criteria:
  • Solid experience in working as a legal cashier in a busy law firm.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and compliance.
  • Highly proficient IT skills, especially Excel and legal accounting software (we use Proclaim).
  • Friendly and approachable, with the confidence and ability to communicate at senior levels and liaise with all parties both internal and external.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong sense of responsibility.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
