About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Service Technician to join our team at 18 Week Support Limited. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating records and databases, ensuring the traceability of reusable medical instruments by quality control and accreditation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Sterile Service and 1 year in the NHS. You will be responsible for testing, validating, and operating highly technical and sensitive decontamination equipment within the department, recording and reporting faults to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and updating records and databases for traceability of reusable medical instruments
  • Testing, validating, and operating decontamination equipment
  • Recording and reporting faults to ensure timely repairs and maintenance
  • Undertaking quality checks for cleanliness and functionality of equipment
  • Collecting and accepting delivery of used equipment from customers
  • Dealing with customer queries via telephone and direct personal contact
