Axon Moore is excited to be partnering with a well-established PLC in the North West region to appoint a Financial Controller to their growing finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced financial professional to join a dynamic and successful business as it embarks on an exciting journey of growth and investment.
The successful candidate will report directly to a high-calibre Divisional Finance Director and will be responsible for all aspects of Financial Control and Operations, including:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders, including management accounts and statutory accounts.
- Financial Control: Ensure strong financial control over key processes, including month-end processes, and identify areas for improvement.
- Team Leadership: Manage, lead and develop a large and dynamic finance team, consisting of high-calibre qualified and part-qualified accountants.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including commercial and FP&A teams.
- Audit and Compliance: Ensure VAT and tax compliance, and manage the external audit process at both half-year and full-year.
- Project Finance: Lead the financial side of new projects and business initiatives, providing strategic insight to guide the business to success.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (minimum 5 years PQE) from a reputable accounting body, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with a strong academic track record and experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
