About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Housing Support Specialist to join our team at Two Saints. As a key member of our Housing First team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are experiencing homelessness to achieve stability and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: You will work one-to-one with clients to identify their needs and develop personalized support plans to help them achieve their goals.
  • Community Outreach: You will engage with clients in the community and in their homes to build trust and rapport, and to provide support and guidance as needed.
  • Benefits and Tenancy Support: You will assist clients in accessing benefits and tenancy support, and provide guidance on managing tenancies and maintaining a safe and healthy living environment.
  • Health and Wellbeing: You will work with clients to identify and address health and wellbeing needs, and provide support to access healthcare services and other resources as needed.
  • Education and Employment: You will support clients to access education and employment opportunities, and provide guidance on career development and job readiness.
  • Case Management: You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and provide regular updates to the team and other stakeholders as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or in a related field is desirable, but not essential.
  • Skills: You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge: You will have a good understanding of the benefits system, tenancy legislation, and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Values: You will share our commitment to supporting individuals who are experiencing homelessness, and be passionate about making a positive difference in their lives.
