Job Title: Commis Waiter

Macellaio RC South Kensington is seeking a skilled Commis Waiter to join our team. As a Commis Waiter, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all food is collected from the hot pass immediately once ready.
  • Ensure all condiments are accompanying the side orders, main courses, and starters.
  • Ensure all dirty plates are removed from the restaurant as soon as they are cleared from the tables.
  • Have a complete knowledge of the restaurant menu and table numbers, as well as being able to identify guests' position numbers at the table.
  • Ensure that the restaurant mise en place is always clean, polished, and stored in the correct manner to avoid any breakage.
  • Ensure that the back of house is clean/clear at all times.
  • Allergens knowledge
  • Act as the contact point between Front and Back of the House staff
  • Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests
  • Assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils, and napkins
  • Remove dirty dishes and utensils
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Basic math skills
