Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at Carrington West. As an EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering EC&I design and engineering services for a critical project at the Sellafield Nuclear site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of EC&I design and engineering services, including production of design documentation and checking the work of other engineers and designers.
  • Coordinating with construction to respond to technical queries and other issues related to EC&I on the project.
  • Responsible for coordinating with construction and commissioning to respond to Field Observation Briefs (FOBs) and defect notices.
  • Representative for design on plant walk-downs, snagging, and general inspections.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Clear experience in delivering EC&I design in a similar role or environment, ideally with recent relevant exposure to work in the nuclear industry.
  • Good communication, analytical, and team working skills.
  • Experience of taking a senior role in delivering engineering packages.
  • Familiar with EC&I deliverables, including technical specifications and reports.
  • Familiar with a pragmatic approach to the application of applicable standards and practices.
  • Experience in taking a deep dive into designs to assure its fitness for purpose regarding the design process and functionality.
