About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Manchester Airport PLC. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our airport facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake planned and reactive maintenance work on airport facilities to ensure optimum serviceability and meet agreed service levels.
  • Carry out tasks that require in-depth technical competence in electrical engineering or minor work in other disciplines.
  • Use MAG IT and work management systems to receive and close down work orders, and enter accurate data.
  • Ensure that all engineering and operating records are updated to meet business, regulatory, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Operate and promote working practices that ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
  • Engage proactively in work associated with delivering performance improvements within the Terminal facilities environment.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and building maintenance team colleagues on the progress of completing work.
  • Work with others to help them learn and upgrade skills to facilitate the maintenance and operation of new assets.
Requirements
  • City and Guilds part 1 and 2 minimum
  • NVQ 2/3 Electrical Engineering
  • Fully conversant with 18th Edition IEE regs
  • Demonstrable experience of providing electrical facilities maintenance in a complex, busy environment
  • Full and assessed knowledge of any relevant National or MAG regulations or standards
  • Completion of relevant and related skills training
  • Meets the requirements of the competence assessment process
  • Understanding of Basic HVAC is desirable but not essential
