Dispensing Optician Role

Zest Business Group is seeking a skilled Dispensing Optician to join our team at our Muswell Hill, North London location.

We are a well-established, award-winning independent Opticians known for our exceptional service and comprehensive eye care services. Our state-of-the-art equipment and commitment to excellence make us a leader in the industry.

As a Dispensing Optician, you will be responsible for:

  • Dispensing lenses to all levels of prescription
  • Working with high-end designer brands such as Oliver Peoples, Chanel, and Lindberg
  • Assisting patients in selecting frames that meet their needs and preferences
  • Meeting and greeting patients, providing a warm and welcoming experience
  • Booking appointments and managing patient schedules
  • Dealing with collections, measurements, and adjustments
  • Working a flexible schedule, including 3, 4, or 5 days a week, with typical hours from 9am to 6pm
  • Competitive salary between £32,000 to £40,000 DOE (pro rata if part-time)
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Dispensing Optics and registration with the General Optical Council (GOC)
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing a professional and courteous experience
  • A proactive and motivated approach to learning and staying up-to-date with industry developments
  • An interest in fashion and branding, with a keen eye for detail
