About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our Estates team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a multi-skilled tradesperson, you will be responsible for carrying out and/or overseeing the repair/maintenance/installation of complex plant and equipment.

Main Responsibilities

Key activities will include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repair works across varying systems.
  • Acting as an Authorised Person (AP) in LV Electrical, including issuing permits to work and carrying out electrical shutdowns in a compliant and recorded manner.
  • Assisting with maintenance works or larger Capital Project works.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have an electrical background with an NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma, or equivalent qualification in an appropriate, electrically biased engineering discipline. They will also have knowledge of planned maintenance systems, health and safety, and time served apprenticeship or equivalent. A driving license is also required.
