Position Overview:

The role of a Lead Structural Analysis Engineer encompasses the oversight and mentorship of a dedicated team of Structural Analysts within a vibrant mechanical engineering environment.

Engaging with innovative products in the automotive and defense sectors, your primary responsibility is to validate equipment and products throughout their lifecycle in accordance with established specifications, while also influencing design modifications to ensure they fulfill their intended functions effectively.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Structural Analysis team, managing all associated project documentation, reports, and approvals.
  • Perform and document timely reviews of analyses, contribute to comprehensive project evaluations, and allocate necessary resources efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable analysis standards and codes of conduct.
  • Develop Finite Element Analysis models based on provided CAD data.
  • Understand, formulate, and implement loads and boundary conditions.
  • Analyze and interpret post-processed analysis results in line with project specifications.
  • Suggest design improvements and communicate them effectively to clients.
  • Actively participate in the continuous enhancement of business processes and systems.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Experience in team leadership within a Structural Engineering department.
  • Expertise in automotive system design and functionality, including vehicle testing through data acquisition and instrumentation.
  • Proficient in structural analysis using fundamental principles and Finite Element Analysis.
  • Capability to create verification plans and procedures for thorough integration and testing.
  • Ideally knowledgeable in Product Data Management, automotive system design, vehicle testing, Enterprise Resource Planning, and Material Requirements Planning systems.
  • Familiarity with drawing standards such as BS 8888, geometric tolerancing, welding specifications, etc.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, along with MS Project and Pamcrash Motions.
