Job Title: Repairs Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Repairs Manager to join our team at Bromsgrove District Housing Trust. As a Repairs Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of gas engineers, multi-skilled trades operatives, and a gas scheduler to deliver our domestic and gas commercial servicing program and general gas and multi-trade repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Line manage a team of qualified gas engineers and multi-skilled trades operatives
  • Take responsibility for decision-making and operational management of the team
  • Deliver the domestic and gas commercial servicing program and general gas and multi-trade repairs
  • Ensure customer care is central to all activities, maintaining high standards and communicating effectively
  • Adhere to bdht's safe systems of work and working knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Produce and validate the annual gas servicing program and schedule appointments
  • Ensure the stock condition database is kept up to date
  • Provide written reports to the Senior Management Group and maintain statistical records for reporting

About You:

We are looking for an experienced professional with a passion for providing excellent customer service. You will have a working knowledge of gas compliance responsibilities and experience working within a gas delivery service, ideally within the social housing sector. You will also need to hold a gas management qualification (NVQ level 3 in gas management or similar) or be willing to achieve this within the first 2 years.
