About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health Care Assistant to join our team at Prometheus Safe and Secure. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our qualified nursing staff in safely transferring patients and providing care across various business areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients with mental health needs.
  • Assist qualified nursing staff in safely transferring patients and providing care across various business areas.
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and RMN/Rota Manager to ensure all staff follow agreed policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company guidelines for checking vehicles and equipment.
  • Highlight and report any issues and stock replacements to the RMN/Clinical Logistic Manager or Operations Manager.
  • Take charge and lead the staffing team when transferring an informal patient.
  • Respond to emergencies during your span of duty and provide crisis intervention to patients experiencing mental health difficulties during a transfer.
  • Ensure accurate and timely records that comply with company policy and report any issues as appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders to establish an understanding of patient needs.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
  • Proactive and positive self-starter.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Well-organised with good time management skills.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS.
  • Currently working in a compliance-focused role.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
