About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to join the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust as part of our outpatient rehabilitation service.

The role involves working closely with Occupational Therapists, Consultants, and Psychologists to provide comprehensive assessment and appropriate interventions to aid the management of chronic pain conditions.

The caseload will be variable and patients are treated in both 1:1 and group settings. The role requires effective communication skills in the management of complex situations and close working with members of the Pain Management MDT is pivotal to the role.

Caseloads will be flexible and at times may involve the provision of service to other areas of the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessment and appropriate interventions to aid the management of chronic pain conditions.
  • Work closely with Occupational Therapists, Consultants, and Psychologists to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Manage a variable caseload of patients with chronic pain conditions in both 1:1 and group settings.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication skills to manage complex situations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Pain Management MDT strategies.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with patients with chronic pain conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and priorities.
