Site Manager Opportunity in the Anglian Water Framework

Edge Careers is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our client's Delivery Team on the Anglian Water framework in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity to drive change within a growth sector that offers academic and career progression into senior management positions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily activities of direct and subcontract teams, overseeing health and safety standards and optimising workforce to meet deadlines.
  • Act as a health and safety ambassador across the business, driving cultural change and eliminating/minimising physical and non-physical waste.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, leading site-based Supervisors and Delivery Teams to ensure safety, quality and time frames drive performance.
  • Conduct projects in line with tender allowances and agreed programmes of work, actively managing any slippage.
  • Proactively assist the planning process to ensure initiatives are implemented with minimal disruption.
  • Procure plant, materials and specialist subcontractors using an appropriate financial management accounting system.
Requirements:
  • HNC/HND in Construction Management (preferred).
  • Previous experience within the M&E, utilities or water sectors (essential).
  • Valid CSCS, First Aid at Works and SMSTS accreditation.
  • Commercial and contractual awareness.
  • Value engineering to minimise costs during project construction phases.
  • Effective management of subcontractors.
  • Working knowledge of legislative and corporate SHEQ, industry and legal requirements.
  • IT proficiency with MS Office (Excel and Outlook) software.
