About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our team in Bradford, UK. As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality and consistent Employee Relations advice to our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Employee Relations advice, support, and coaching to line managers across the end-to-end employee lifecycle.
- Manage Employee Relations cases, including sickness absence, performance management, and other employment issues.
- Carry out case reviews, assessing risk and advising accordingly.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Provide timely and accurate advice to line managers on Employee Relations processes, procedures, and employment law risk.
- Support business change initiatives, including restructuring, TUPE, and settlements.
- Support the development of People Policy and line manager support tools.
- Work with wider business stakeholders on ad-hoc People Projects.
- Analyze Employee Relations data, business insights, and trend analysis.
- Prepare Employment Tribunal bundles.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop relationships with key business stakeholders, including People Business Partners, line management, and the People team.
- Identify and escalate high-risk issues to the Senior ER Manager and key stakeholders.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation, trackers, and data.
- Produce data analysis and reporting as required.
- Provide and facilitate technical training to line managers as required.
- Ensure a high level of confidentiality.
- Understand the needs of internal customers and support the continuous improvement of the ER team and service.
- Support the Netherlands team as required.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in Employee Relations, ER case management, or generalist HR Advisor role with a high level of ER exposure, ideally in a customer-oriented commercial environment.
- A solid understanding of UK employment legislation, its application, and best practice.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data, trends, and insights.
- Demonstration of a proactive, commercially based approach to case management and risk.
- Experience of supporting business change initiatives, such as TUPE and restructuring.
- Experience of working closely with stakeholders, resolving issues, and understanding drivers/needs, building good relationships with internal and external departments and third-party organizations.
- Self-motivated, proactive, goal-oriented, well-organized, adaptable, and resilient.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products and HR systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Some exposure to managing ACAS and ET claims.
Preferred Education/Qualifications
- A university degree.
- CIPD qualification in the UK.
