Key Responsibilities- Production Planning: Create and maintain the master production schedule, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of vehicles.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, manufacturing, engineering, and supplier capacity planners to ensure the availability of materials and resources necessary to meet production plan.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor production performance and make adjustments to the production schedule as necessary to ensure on-time delivery of vehicles.
- Customer Order Management: Allocate customer orders into vehicle 'slots' in the production schedule, ensuring delivery dates are met, supply lead times respected, production constraints are not broken, and level demand where possible.
- Production Control: Track aged WIP in the factory process against required PTS dates and communicate with production and factory planner where required.
- Factory Planning: Plan factory areas such as Tubs, Trim, and Paint.
- Supply Chain Management: Ensure the correct cars are PTS to support sales targets and car shipping.
- Production Planning Tools: Develop and maintain production planning tools, including capacity planning models, production schedules.
- Production Control Data: Manage all related production control data to maintain smooth flow and promote continuous improvement.
- Planning Systems: Ensure planning systems are accurately maintained.
- Launch Team Collaboration: Liaise with Launch Team for the scheduling of Product Development cars within Production schedule.
- Working Capital Optimization: Ensure Working Capital / work in progress is optimized across all manufacturing facilities.
- Key Metric Dashboards: Support in the creation and manage key metric dashboards for use by the business to manage throughput targets and constraints tracking.
- Improvement Activities: Lead improvement activities and drive to improve KPI's.
- Learnings Reflection: Reflect learnings to New Model scheduling to improve Launch activity.
- Additional Tasks: Support/lead any other related tasks to maintain or improve production scheduling & execution.
- Experience: Experience in vehicle or production planning, ideally in the automotive industry (production).
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy, together with the ability to work accurately and efficiently, taking resourceful action during periods of considerable pressure.
- Understanding of S/OP Process: Understanding of S/OP process.
- Business Intelligence Tools: The ability to create & use business intelligence tools such as Power BI / SSRS / Domo / Birst including writing SQL queries would be preferable.
- Qualification: Degree or Higher diploma qualified or equivalent preferable.
- Communication Across Levels: Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the business.
- ERP System Experience: Experience using an ERP system in a Planning role.
- Data Analysis Tools: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel or Tableau.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or STEM subject.
- Stakeholder Management: Stakeholder management, leadership.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
- Analytical: Analytical.
- Commercial Awareness: Commercial awareness.
