About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Renewable Heating Technician to join our dynamic team. This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a company dedicated to advancing renewable heating technologies in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute heat pump installations across various domestic and commercial projects.
- Install all necessary piping associated with heat pump systems, ensuring proficiency in interpreting mechanical schematic drawings.
- Oversee on-site health and safety protocols in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure the quality and compliance of installed systems.
- Conduct first and second fix installations in residential properties and plant rooms.
Technical Skills Required:
- Installation of domestic-sized ground source heat pumps.
- Installation of commercial-sized ground source heat pump plant rooms.
- Ability to install first fix pipework for heating systems and radiators.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a domestic plumber with a solid understanding of heating systems and distribution, including underfloor heating.
- NVQ in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent certification).
- BPEC certification in heat pumps is desirable.
- Experience with unvented hot water systems.
- Background in heating installation, service, and maintenance.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £42,000, based on experience.
- 25 days of annual leave plus statutory holidays.
- Monthly contribution of £30 towards mobile phone expenses.
- Full-time employment with a company vehicle provided.
- Participation in a project-specific bonus scheme.
