Job Summary:

1st Choice Rec is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving infrastructure and equipment onsite to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all plant and service equipment in line with maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Assist with repairs to sustain site services and maintain production levels, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Implement plant modifications to accommodate changes in processing procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Operate and maintain the onsite water treatment plant, ensuring water quality and safety standards are met.
  • Undertake capital work to provide increased capacity, production of new products, and meet environmental requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical breakdowns, new installations, and provide mechanical support to ensure seamless operations.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and manage scheduling to minimize equipment failures and downtime.
  • Adhere to safe systems of working, ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Minimum BTEC Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Electrical Engineering, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
