Position Overview
TPF Recruitment is collaborating with a reputable firm of accountants seeking to add a Senior Accounts & Tax Specialist to their expanding and successful team. This role offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time engagement, with the possibility of hybrid working arrangements. You will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering comprehensive services in both accounting and taxation. The firm has experienced significant growth recently and is eager to welcome an experienced professional to support their continued expansion.

Work Environment
The firm prides itself on fostering a modern and relaxed workplace culture, emphasizing a healthy work-life balance. They are open to candidates seeking either full-time or part-time roles. The client base is varied, encompassing a wide range of sectors and sizes, from sole proprietorships to partnerships and limited companies with substantial revenues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of annual financial statements
  • Review of final accounts along with necessary tax adjustments
  • Client meetings to discuss financial matters
  • Preparation of corporate tax returns (CT600)
  • Filing of partnership and individual self-assessment tax returns
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Supervision and support of junior team members
  • Opportunity to engage in audit work if desired, though not mandatory

Candidate Requirements
  • ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent experience
  • Strong background in accounting practice
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as CCH, Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks is a plus
  • Experience in managing client portfolios is advantageous

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range of £35,000 - £45,000, commensurate with experience
  • 25 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
  • Study support available as needed
  • Auto-enrollment pension scheme
  • Standard working hours from 08:30 to 16:30
  • Complimentary parking at the office
  • 5 days of paid sick leave

Final Note
We are looking for individuals who are ACA/ACCA qualified or possess equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years in an accounting practice setting. Experience with Iris and cloud-based software such as Xero or QuickBooks is beneficial.
