Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to enhance our Engineering team. This role is crucial in delivering expert support to manufacturing sectors as part of a dedicated, multi-disciplinary engineering group.

Work Schedule:
This position operates on a rotating shift pattern, including both day and night shifts, with a schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off.

Compensation:
The starting salary for this role is £42,500 per annum, which includes a shift allowance. This amount can increase to £46,043 after demonstrating specific competencies related to the site. Additionally, there are opportunities for quarterly bonuses and overtime.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the engineering team to perform both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
2. Uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, ensuring compliance with safe working practices.
3. Provide immediate technical support to diagnose and resolve issues, thereby minimizing downtime in operations.
4. Work alongside colleagues to propose and implement enhancements to process control systems.
5. Ensure high-quality workmanship by promptly addressing any deficiencies to prevent future occurrences.

Qualifications:
1. Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or possession of a recognized electrical maintenance qualification (such as NVQ).
2. Preferably, experience in heavy engineering manufacturing and strong interpersonal skills.
3. Familiarity with industrial and domestic wiring, as well as experience with overhead cranes, slitters, cutters, presses, and robotic systems.
4. Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens & Allen Bradley) and HMI interfaces.
5. Proficiency with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems, variable speed motor control, and speed feedback devices.
6. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and an understanding of safety-related control systems.
