Job Description

**Head of Credit Risk**

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our credit risk management function. As the Head of Credit Risk, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our risk management strategy, ensuring the responsible underwriting of loans, and safeguarding the financial health of our firm.

Risk Strategy and Governance

Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy aligned with our business objectives. Establish and enforce risk policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Collaborate with our executive leadership to communicate risk tolerance and risk appetite across the organisation.

Credit Risk Management

Develop and maintain credit risk models to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers. Establish risk-based pricing strategies to balance profitability with risk exposure. Collaborate with our credit risk team to monitor portfolio performance and initiate proactive measures to mitigate credit losses.

Compliance and Regulatory Affairs

Stay abreast of relevant regulatory changes and ensure our lending business is following all applicable laws and regulations. Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the resilience of our lending portfolio under various economic conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Establish and enforce risk policies, procedures, and standards
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to communicate risk tolerance and risk appetite
  • Develop and maintain credit risk models to assess creditworthiness of borrowers
  • Establish risk-based pricing strategies to balance profitability with risk exposure
  • Monitor portfolio performance and initiate proactive measures to mitigate credit losses
  • Stay abreast of relevant regulatory changes and ensure compliance with laws and regulations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in credit risk management and risk strategy development
  • Strong understanding of credit profiles and risk-based pricing strategies
  • Ability to develop and maintain complex credit scorecards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
