About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Stannah, a leading manufacturer and engineering company. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical solutions for our products, ensuring they meet corporate and international standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop all aspects of mechanical design solutions for new and legacy products, adhering to corporate and international standards.
  • Produce detailed design documentation to support validation of design solutions, ensuring quality and safety.
  • Analyze requirements using the Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) process to define test specifications.
  • Examine designs using component-level DFMEA process to identify potential failures.
  • Produce technical documentation for production, installation, and service, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assess the safety of product designs using Product Safety Hazard Analysis process.
Requirements
  • HNC/Degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline relevant to mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Creo.
  • Experience with PLM software, preferably Windchill.
  • Drafting skills to BS8888 or other equivalent/relevant standard.
