About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Data Insights Senior Manager to join our team at NHS England's Central Commercial Function. As a key member of our Systems, Data and Insight team, you will play a critical role in enabling the Commercial Directorate and wider health system to deliver improved commercial technology and insight.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead efforts to unlock the potential of data to improve procurement outcomes across the NHS. You will work directly with NHS organisations, helping them harness the power of the NHS Spend Comparison Service to identify cost-saving opportunities and deliver measurable improvements in procurement efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Educated to Post-graduate degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
  • Proven track record in analysing and interpreting procurement data across various procurement categories
  • Experience in procurement opportunity analysis and savings methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to effectively communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of procurement processes acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience and training
  • Understand the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
  • Must be able to use initiative to decide relevant actions and make recommendations with the aim of improving deliverables and compliance to policies
