About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team at Aldwych Consulting Ltd. as a key member of our design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the design process for a large healthcare project in North East England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Process Leadership: Lead and manage the design process for the healthcare project, ensuring that all design objectives are met.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure that design deliverables align with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Design Deliverables: Oversee the production of design deliverables, ensuring that they meet all project requirements and are of the highest quality.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and statutory bodies to ensure that all design work complies with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Risk Management: Manage design risks and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Security Clearance: Ensure that the project's design meets all security clearance requirements, including DBS and BPSS.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing design for healthcare or education projects or similar.
  • Background: Strong background working with main contractors.
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Project Requirements: Familiarity with NHS, MOD or DfE project requirements is a plus.
  • Security Clearance: Must meet DBS and BPSS security clearance requirements.
