About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Support Secretary to join our Haematology team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide a comprehensive and efficient secretarial service to our Haematology Team.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Haematology Team, including typing, filing, and data entry.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and databases.
- Develop and implement efficient administrative systems and processes to improve team productivity and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Good general education to include GCSE English or equivalent.
- Secretarial and/or clerical experience, preferably in an acute hospital setting.
- Audio typewriting skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office package and hospital EPR system.
