Job Title: Medical Oncology Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Oncology Consultant to join our team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical oncology, with a particular interest in melanoma and acute oncology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality medical care to patients with melanoma and acute oncology, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols to improve patient outcomes and streamline care processes.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of educational programs for medical students, junior doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in research projects and clinical trials to advance the field of medical oncology and improve patient care.
  • Collaborate with other departments and services to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Higher professional qualification (e.g., MRCP) and completion of a recognized SpR program in medical oncology.
  • Proven experience in clinical governance, teaching, and research, with a strong track record of publications and presentations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams.
