Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the institution's values and mission.
- Educate and nurture students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), adhering to personalized programs aligned with their Education Health Care Plans.
- Instruct class groups in specialized subjects or a combination thereof.
- Monitor, document, and report on students' progress and accomplishments.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for Annual Reviews and coordinate contributions from various disciplines.
- Provide emotional support and communicate with parents and professionals.
- Contribute to the School Development Plan and assist in planning and monitoring initiatives.
- Administer and report on Teacher Assessments.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the curriculum.
- Maintain student portfolios and records of achievement.

- Stay informed on local and national educational policies.
- Engage in the institution's Performance Management process.
- Supervise a small team of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), including conducting annual appraisals.
- Enhance classroom and institutional displays.
- Develop specific curriculum areas across the institution.
- Participate in extracurricular activities such as swimming and trampolining.
- Attend relevant meetings and report to the Governing Body as necessary.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Head Teacher and Deputy Headteacher.
- Engage in professional development and training opportunities.
Curriculum Management:
- Manage resources within budgetary constraints.
- Ensure a comprehensive and balanced curriculum tailored to student needs.
- Provide training and support for staff members.
- Keep planning, assessment, and policy documentation up to date.
- Regularly monitor student progress and achievements.
- Update and oversee assessment policies and strategies.
Job Context:
- Support student learning and development.
- Supervise LSAs, planning, implementing, and assessing learning needs and progress.
Physical Effort and Working Environment:
- Assist with the mobility of students when necessary.
- Participate in physical activities such as swimming and trampolining.
- Follow guidelines for safely assisting students.
- Manage situations involving bodily fluids, personal care, and administering medication.
- Deliver specialized medical programs as required.
