Data Scientist Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist Lead to join our team at Transport for Greater Manchester. As a key member of our Research and Digital team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and leading a new data and management information function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a team/function that can turn data and qualitative evidence into actionable intelligence to inform the achievement of outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Research and Digital team to ensure a joined-up approach to data and evidence insights.
- Work with external partners to maximize intelligence available from data.
- Design, code, and present visually engaging analysis to inform critical decisions and support policy-making and commissioning within the Directorate.
About You:
We are looking for someone with an understanding of local economic growth issues and policy, public service reform, and devolution. You will have strong data presentation and insights skills accompanied by excellent analytical skills to turn data and qualitative evidence into actionable intelligence.
