Early Years Educator

The Early Years Educator will collaborate closely with the Nursery Room Leader to ensure that every child attending the nursery receives exceptional care, remains safe, and is engaged in thoughtfully planned and stimulating play activities that cater to their unique needs while supporting all facets of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
This role requires effective teamwork to create an enabling environment where each child can explore, develop, and learn.
Building and nurturing strong partnerships with parents is essential to meet the needs of the children.
Main ResponsibilitiesTo uphold high standards of quality within the nursery regarding the environment, resources, and experiences provided to the children.
To enhance the reputation of the School by consistently presenting a professional appearance and maintaining a friendly demeanor towards parents, the public, and the broader School community.
To gain a thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, assisting the Nursery Room Leader in planning, preparing, and delivering the curriculum while evaluating activities for the children.
To support the establishment of a well-resourced and creatively stimulating environment.
To provide professional and relevant feedback to parents and caregivers regarding their child's progress.
To work collaboratively with all parents and caregivers, fostering relationships that encourage trust, open communication, and involvement in nursery activities.
To reflect on practices and routines, adapting them to meet the individual needs of each child throughout the day.
To promote high standards, progression, continuity, and quality of learning.
To assist in documenting observations and supporting children's learning and development, ensuring that records are maintained to a high standard and shared effectively.
To adhere to the school's policies, particularly those related to learning support, safeguarding, child protection, and equal opportunities, while promoting inclusion within the school.
To ensure that the nursery environment is safe for children, staff, and visitors, maintaining high standards of hygiene and implementing health and safety procedures at all times.
To oversee display materials and teaching aids, perform simple maintenance and repairs, and ensure cleanliness after use.
To cooperate and work effectively with the management team, taking on additional responsibilities and positively promoting developments in policies and procedures among team members.
To undertake other relevant duties as assigned by the Headmaster.
To work flexibly as part of the larger team, assisting and supporting colleagues as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery.
To actively participate in the life of the School.
40 hours per week, excluding a one-hour lunch break.
Competitive salary, based on experience.
