About The Role

As a Payroll Advisor at GSF Car Parts, you will play a crucial role in providing a comprehensive payroll processing service to our employees. You will work closely with the Payroll Manager to ensure timely and accurate processing of UK and IOM monthly payrolls, statutory payments, and deductions. Your expertise will also be utilized in pension administration, reconciliations, and time and attendance support.

Main Responsibilities
  • Process UK and IOM monthly payrolls end-to-end
  • Process statutory payments and deductions
  • Pension administration and reconciliations
  • Support with time and attendance
  • Provide a confidential service to employees at all levels
  • Submission of year-end, P and PD documents
  • Support with company car and other salary sacrifice schemes
  • In the absence of the Payroll Manager, ensure pre-payroll processing tasks are completed, payrolls are run, and post-processing tasks are completed in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner, including submission and retrieval of files to/from HMRC
  • In the absence of the Payroll Manager, balance the net payment for the payroll and the monthly Payroll reconciliation
  • Support the Payroll Manager in ensuring the skills and experience of the payroll team are mapped and gaps in knowledge are closed where there may be an impact on service delivery
  • Research new initiatives where efficiency and customer experience can be improved across systems, processes, and ways of working
  • Communicate throughout the Payroll team, broader HR, and the business, all changes to statutory and legislative requirements
  • Build excellent working relationships with Business Leaders and key stakeholders
  • Keep personal knowledge up to date through external networking and attending conferences, bringing back leading-edge and innovative Payroll thinking, and sharing this with the team and HR Leadership
About You

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with 2+ years' experience working in end-to-end payroll, ideally within a fast-paced, multi-site organisation. You will possess some in-house payroll experience, a CIPP qualification, and knowledge of recent/current legislation. You will be a capable and proactive professional who is committed to delivering a first-class internal/external service.
