We are on the lookout for a meticulous and detail-focused Junior Cost Estimator to become a vital part of our energetic team.

The Junior Cost Estimator will be instrumental in assisting our estimating division by accurately evaluating the expenses linked to manufacturing initiatives.

This position offers a remarkable opportunity for individuals eager to advance their careers in manufacturing while acquiring essential experience in estimation methodologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Inquiries: Evaluate client inquiries and comprehend specific build/design standards for all fabrications.
  • Cost Assessment: Create precise and competitive cost estimates that guarantee profitability.
  • Technical Proposals: Develop comprehensive technical proposals detailing design standards, delivery timelines, material specifications, inclusions, exclusions, and commercial conditions.
  • Order Management: Follow up on proposals to secure orders and foster strong client relationships.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with production managers to ensure timely delivery and keep clients updated on project status.
  • Technical Collaboration: Work alongside engineers on project technicalities, forwarding calculations and initial designs to the drafting team.
  • Client Validation: Dispatch designs to clients for approval and coordinate site meetings as required.
  • Procurement Approval: Validate costs for procurement and offer technical assistance to the purchasing department.
  • Logistics Management: Organize both internal and external transport for deliveries and pickups.
  • Contract Oversight: Manage project contracts and ensure a seamless transition to relevant teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a comparable role within the mechanical engineering sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Technical Knowledge: A solid grasp of build/design standards, cost estimation, and project management principles.
  • Communication Proficiency: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Detail Orientation: Exceptional attention to detail and precision in generating cost estimates and proposals.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
