About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Consultant to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our Streets design offer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality advice on urban road projects, including public sector sustainable transport schemes, major developments, and highway-related regeneration projects.
Key Responsibilities- Support our Streets design offer across the company, both in the UK and internationally, through engineering design, analysis, and application of local traffic models.
- Lead work streams within projects, ensuring best practice techniques are applied consistently.
- Deliver high-quality advice as part of multi-disciplinary teams across a range of transport-related projects.
- Manage multi-disciplinary projects, subconsultants, and support staff assigned on a project basis as required.
- Take responsibility for key projects deliverables through project initiation, feasibility, and preliminary and detailed designs.
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, briefing notes, and design reports.
- Manage project budgets, exercising effective financial and budgetary control.
- Contribute to the production and delivery of proposals and marketing materials related to our market area from time to time.
- Possess relevant experience in the design of streets and urban roads, ideally with experience of applying relevant UK standards.
- Have hands-on experience of local or microsimulation traffic modeling packages such as LinSig, TRANSYT, or Vissim.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to influence colleagues and clients through a balance of supportive and challenging behaviors.
- Comfortable working in creative multi-disciplinary teams for a mix of public sector clients and provide positive contributions in resolving complex design problems.
- Take responsibility for key tasks and workstreams, successfully managing multiple deadlines in parallel.
