About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to join our 14-person web team at Odd Shoes, a 1000-person actuarial consultancy helping the government and over half the UK's top 100 companies to answer the big questions across industries like health, football, pensions, and insurance.

As a Frontend Developer, you will play a key role in shaping the priorities and building your career in many directions. You will work on a mix of greenfield projects with many new ideas and tools, including intelligently incorporating AI into all our current tools and tech.

We use the latest technology, currently Vue 3.0 / TypeScript, but we'll move to Vue as soon as possible. You will enjoy freedom in solving problems and will be part of a team that values inclusivity, with 13 DEI awards in the last five years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on complex applications using Vue 3.0, TypeScript, and other modern frontend frameworks.
  • Contribute to the development of a complete rewrite of an energy trading and trend prediction platform.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams and industries on a mix of greenfield projects.
  • Help shape the priorities and build your career in many directions.
Requirements
  • Experience as a junior or mid-level frontend developer with TypeScript experience.
  • Experience working on complex applications and a desire to progress to the senior level.
  • Bonus points if you've used Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure DevOps, NUnit, MSTest, Playwright, Jest, and other Azure services like Functions, App Service, or Blob Storage.
