Role Summary:
Leidos Innovations UK Limited is in search of a skilled Information Assurance Engineer to enhance our client projects across various sectors, including Logistics, Civil, and National Security Defence and Intelligence.
We seek individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and can deliver effective security measures that our clients appreciate. The position will focus on developing robust assurance solutions for sensitive projects.
The initial project will require significant collaboration with third parties and clients, facilitating ongoing growth and monthly onboarding cycles. This role demands adaptability and excellent prioritization skills to maintain service quality in an agile setting.
As we expand our customer base and project offerings, there will be further opportunities in information assurance, including the implementation of standardized tools for tracking and reporting assurance activities. You will also contribute to the development of NIST-compliant risk assessment methodologies, enhancing our service quality and client trust.
The role will involve reporting to the cyber lead regarding project outcomes and supporting the career development of junior team members. The ideal candidate will also enhance the broader Leidos security capabilities, joining a diverse cyber team committed to delivering exceptional security solutions.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience with the IT systems engineering lifecycle
- Knowledge of controlling processes within the systems engineering lifecycle (e.g., requirements management, configuration management, testing, and assurance)
- Familiarity with various methodologies (waterfall, incremental, SAFE, DevOps)
- Management of ITHC activities throughout the lifecycle
- Strong understanding of Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability, and Safety (CIA+S) and practical application in risk management
- Experience in securing accreditation for sensitive systems through structured risk analysis
- Continuous assurance experience for information security management systems (e.g., NIST, ISO)
- Development and management of Cyber Incident Response capabilities
- Creation of Security Awareness training programs
- Experience in maintaining security documentation sets
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of network protection technologies (firewalls, mail gateways, etc.)
- Understanding of Protective Monitoring systems (SIEM/SOC)
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization technologies (SAML, LDAP, PKI)
- Understanding of encryption protocols
- Knowledge of penetration testing and IT Health Checks
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Capability to produce reports for diverse audiences
- Strong commercial awareness and project management skills
Candidate Requirements:
- British nationality with no dual citizenship
- Willingness to undergo additional security clearance processes
- Experience in delivering accredited security solutions in sensitive environments
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in both delivery and proposal environments
- Experience in MOD AS environments
